Time passes in moments… moments which, rushing past, define the path of a life just as surely as they lead towards its end. How rarely do we stop to examine that path, to see the reasons why all things happen, to consider whether the path we take in life is our own making or simply one into which we drift with eyes closed.

But what if we could stop, pause to take stock of each precious moment before it passes? Might we then see the endless forks in the road that have shaped a life? And, seeing those choices, choose another path?

However, for fans of the show, there’s a treat waiting for you here.

The X-Files creators and both David Duchovny & Gillian Anderson didn’t want the relationship between Mulder and Scully to develop into something romantic. At first. By the 4th season, finally giving in to the majority of its cult following, the relationship started to evolve. But it took forever, and the learning of “The Truth” before it all became official. It was definitely the most understated but tension-filled romance story I’ve ever seen anywhere.

I was among the gazillion fans who gaped in awe when, in the first movie, Fight the Future, Mulder leaned in for a kiss. Millions of jaw dropped when that darned bee stung Scully’s nape and ruined the moment. But I recently found this video from YouTube – a gag reel of sorts. After almost 10 years, here’s what we’ve always wanted to see then. Minus the goofiness, of course.
